We have been generating some good ideas for the main event Saturday August 4th at Tascali's, but we need your feedback. Should we invite a speaker? It has been suggested that Mr. Smith (Seth's Dad) would be a possible option should we decide that we want a speaker. What do you think?

we think seth smiths dad is about the only "speaker" we care to hear from. otherwise, we vote no speaker.

Hmmm... don't know. Will we have to pay him? Is that a weird question? Anyway, I want to spend as much time as I can getting reconnected with everyone. I feel I have changed quite a bit, and I'm sure everyone else has as well. I'd love to have lots of time to get to know the "new" everyone better. How long of a speech are we talking here?

I'm sure he would speak only as long as we asked, and Mr. Smith really never came off to me as a preacher. Just someone who always had something encouraging (and FUNNY) to say! :)
yeah i want to yap at everyone rather than sit and listen to a speaker. we had lots of speakers in school. nothing against mr smith.
I vote for no speaker. I love Mr. Smith but I am more interested in catching up with everyone and reminiscing about the good'ol days.
Yeah, I'm voting no too. Love Mr. Smith and all and would love to see him as well, but I would rather use that small window of time to catch up with everyone.
I agree that I would like to spend most of my time catching up with what is going on in all of your lives. (I have a feeling that the weekend is going to fly by!) However, I got the sense that a lot of people were torn because they wanted to see Mr. Smith. You know we could always open one of the more informal events up to people who were affiliated with the school who'd like to stop by and see us. The only downside I see to that is having us all agree who we'd want to invite... We could do something simple like a potluck picnic in the park so the cost would be pretty minimal.. just a thought!

Josiah, I checked your blog and I am game for the Friday get together at Giovanni's. I'm always up for their pizza. I don't get it much anymore living in VA and all. I'll probably bring my hubby and 2 boys.
